The Oregon-Idaho Annual conference of the United Methodist Church adopted this resolutioin when it met in Salem June 12-16, 2007. University Park UMC brought the resolution to the Annual Conference. OPEN MEMBERSHIP The Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference expects and encourages its congregations and clergy to abide by the principle: Membership in any local church in the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference shall not be denied on the basis of race, color, age, national origin, economic condition, gender, marital status, sexu al orientation, gender identity, mental or physical ability, or any other status.
