OPEN HEARTS, OPEN MINDS, OPEN DOORS

WORSHIP

We worship together at 10 on Sunday mornings.

Communion is shared with everyone the first Sunday of each Month.

Community Potluck is shared with everyone the last Sunday of each Month.

Our worship is warm, thoughtful, joyous, truthful and hopeful. We share our lives, hopes, joys and sorrows with one another during worship.

We use a variety of music resources, including live and recorded music.

Our sermons are lectionary based, which means that we take the vast sweep of Scripture seriously and remain in thoughtful dialog with other churches in the ecumenical tradition.

Adult and Child Sunday School, Sundays, 11:30-12:15

Children’s Nursery during worship

Men’s Support Group, weekly

United Methodist Women, Monthly unit meeting, one circle

Women’s Spirituality Group, monthly, two retreats yearly

Monthly potlucks, followed by a movie or an informational forum

The Lunch Bunch, monthly outings for lunch at neighborhood restaurants

OUTREACH

Building
We maintain our building as a resource for our neighborhood. We provide space for the following programs on an on-going basis:
Alcoholics Anonymous
Overeaters Anonymous
North Portland Resource Team

Our building is available for one-time community needs, housing workshops, community forums, and celebrations

People
Coffee Stop—a ministry of coffee and hospitality at a rest area along I-5

Neighborhood involvement—we participate actively in our local neighborhood organization
